The procession started from the 'Atham Nagar' Thripunithura Boys Highschool ground. Art forms include Display of children from various schools, panchavadyam, women carrying flags, thiruvathira kali, mudiyattom, Krishna and Radha, Unniyarcha, Kolkkali, chundan vallam, Pulikali, Shingari melam, Ardhanareeswaran, Pookkavadi, Peelikkavadi, Theyyam, thira, Arjuna nritham, Bommalattom, Kanyarkali and Kaalakali. Lot of Tableaus arranged in lorries made the show attractive. They include scenes from our puranas and also contemporary issues.

Athachamayam on August 2nd

The historic procession 'Athachamayam' will be held on 2nd August. The procession will start from Thripunithura Government Boys High School ground (atham nagar). In that ground Atham trade fare and Amusement park are arranged.
Atham procession will have caparisoned elephants,display of children,theyyam-thira, kavadiyattam, bommakkolu, panchavadyam, chendamelam, bandmelam, shingarimelam, pulikali, peelikkavadi, kottakkavadi, poykal kuthira, padayani, floats and many more. There will be athapookkala competition in Neon auditorium.

Athachamayam

A unique procession from Thripunithura. A spectacular event showcasing all ethnic art forms and different phases of Kerala in the auspicious day of Atham(10 days before Onam). Its legend connects with the Cochin Royal family. There will be Pulikali, Mayilattam, Kavadi attam, Karakam thullal, Mohini attom, Thiruvathira kali and Caparisoned elephants accompanied by Panchavadyam. There will be a lot of floats with contemporary themes. Different clubs and resident associations sponsor items in this great procession. The best float will get rewards.
Its a great event to be seen in Kochi.....
