Bridges in Kochi

  • Kundannoor bridge, 1.75Km!!!The bridge connects the Kundannoor junction with Thevara. Its a part of Kochi Madura National Highway.
    Kundannoor bridge pass over two back waters and a railway line. Le Meridian Hotel and Convention centre is at the Kundannoor junction. Another 5 star hotel is also coming up in this juntion opposite to Le Meridian. This hotel is owned by KGA group from Kuwait. This hotel will have 210 rooms and conferencing facilities.

Ramavarma Club, Kochi

One of the oldest institution in Kochi. Established in the year 1897 by the King Ramavarma. Club is situated in the heart of the Kochi and very near to Durbar Hall Ground and Ernakulam Shiva temple. Its a venue of marriages and other functions.

Onam shopping in Kochi

Onam shopping accompanied with the heavy rains made the traffic more heavy in Kochi. You can see vehicles filled with vegetables, vazhakkulas and other items. Traffic blocks are also part of the Onam celebration. Night shopping had started. Kochiitis are enjoying the onam in a metro style with all the shopping facilities.

This junction is in MC road. From the junction we can travel to Ernakulam(70Km), Pala(15Km), Kottayam(11Km), Mahatmagandhi University(3Km), Athirampuzha(2Km), Medical College(7Km). From this junction private bus service is available to Neendoor, Onam thuruthu , Medical College and University.
Ettumanoor is in Kottayam District. Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple is a famous pilgrim centre in Kottayam. 'Ezhara ponnana' is very famous in Kerala which is connected to the royal history of Kerala.

The procession started from the 'Atham Nagar' Thripunithura Boys Highschool ground. Art forms include Display of children from various schools, panchavadyam, women carrying flags, thiruvathira kali, mudiyattom, Krishna and Radha, Unniyarcha, Kolkkali, chundan vallam, Pulikali, Shingari melam, Ardhanareeswaran, Pookkavadi, Peelikkavadi, Theyyam, thira, Arjuna nritham, Bommalattom, Kanyarkali and Kaalakali. Lot of Tableaus arranged in lorries made the show attractive. They include scenes from our puranas and also contemporary issues.
